Whether you need a full time or part time Project Manager, 146A can offer people with the qualities and experience you need. We believe that the most important attributes are experience, communication and common sense.
Experience – managing IT projects is not simple and a badly managed project can have a considerable effect on the business it is supposed to improve. Experience is therefore vital; being able to foresee issues before they arise cannot only save significant time and money but will also make the process smoother and less stressful for the people involved and the business as a whole.
Communication – successfully implementing an IT project involves a lot of negotiation; agreeing how systems will operate, solving problems and agreeing compromises. The project manager must be able to easily and quickly gain agreements from many different parties if the project is going to succeed.
Common Sense – In most cases 90% complete and on time is a better than 100% complete and late. In order to achieve this the project manager must always have their feet on the ground to be able to evaluate the current state of the project, this includes being able to admit there are problems in order to include the right people in the decision-making.
